The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the last 7 months. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin made two such announcements in two days, after which the worldwide stir has intensified. While Putin has made preparations to annex four parts of Ukraine, or about 20% of the territory, to Russia, he has also ordered the partial deployment of 3 lakh reserve troops. Not only this, he has also clearly warned the Western countries that if Russia’s territorial integrity is threatened, then they will use all the resources available with Russia.
This announcement of Putin is being considered a matter of concern not only for Ukraine but also for countries like Poland, Romania, Moldova, Sweden, Finland. Actually, these countries are openly in support of Ukraine during the war. Sweden, Finland have even taken steps for NATO membership after Russia’s warning. On the other hand, from America to Britain, Canada has reacted to Putin’s threat.
What did Biden say?
After Putin’s threat, US President Joe Biden also reacted. Joe Biden said that Russia has shamelessly violated the basic principles of the United Nations Charter. In his address to the UN assembly session, Biden said President Putin’s new threat showed his disregard for the nuclear weapons treaty. He said that nuclear war can never be won, it should never be fought.
Biden said the war was about ending Ukraine’s right to exist and the US would stand in solidarity against Russia’s aggression. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Putin’s statement said that he does not think that the world will allow the Russian President to use these weapons. I don’t think Putin will use these weapons.
Canada and Britain also reacted
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Russia’s order to deploy troops showed it had failed in its invasion of Ukraine. For the first time since World War II, Russia has ordered the deployment of so many soldiers. On the other hand, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said Putin’s decision to mobilize troops showed that his attack was failing.
Putin made a shocking announcement
President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered the deployment of 300,000 reserve troops to Russia. Putin’s announcement came at a time when Russia is preparing to annex the four parts of Ukraine. For this, Russia is going to start a referendum in these areas from Friday. People living in these areas will be able to cast their vote between 23-27 September.
Preparation of mixing these four parts
Russia is trying to annex Ukraine’s Donetsk, Luhansk, Khorasan and Zaporizhzhya. Putin has ordered a referendum to be held in these areas. Putin said that the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) of Ukraine has been liberated and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has also been partially liberated. Meanwhile, the Defense Minister of Russia said that 300,000 reserve troops would be deployed in the country.
Putin warns the West
Vladimir Putin said that Western countries are plotting to destroy and weaken Russia. These countries have crossed the limit. Not only this, Putin warned Western countries that if Russia’s territorial integrity was threatened, they would use all the resources available with Russia. Putin said that the mistake should not be made to take this warning lightly.
Putin said, “Those who make such statements about Russia, I want to remind those people that there are various means of destruction in our country, they are more modern than NATO countries.” When the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, Russia and our people will certainly use these resources for defense.
