In Karnataka, senior leader of Janata Dal (Secular) Chand Mahal Ibrahim has surrounded the state government over the hijab controversy. CM Ibrahim has said that former Prime Minister of the country Indira Gandhi had a pallu on her head. Current President Draupadi Murmu has a pallu on her head, is this also a PFI conspiracy? In fact, the state government has argued in the Supreme Court that the hijab controversy is a conspiracy of the Popular Front of India. CM Ibrahim said, “Indira Gandhi has ‘pallu’, President of India holds ‘pallu’. Are these also PFI conspiracies? Women in Rajasthan have ‘pallu’ on their hands. Do we declare them as Muslims ? The JD(S) leader said, “Pallu is the culture of Indian tradition.” Girls did not wear hijab in schools till 2022. Popular Front of India (PFI) launched a movement on social media regarding this in 2022. Children were involved in this under a well-thought-out conspiracy. Related news PFI inspired student protesting: Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, on behalf of the Government of Karnataka, told the Supreme Court that the petitioner students were inspired by PFI. The High Court had also considered the hand of unknown people in disturbing social harmony. The police had also presented evidence in the High Court. He said that from 2004 to 2021 there was no controversy regarding the hijab. Not done. He said that the government will present a copy of the charge sheet against the PFI in the court. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that if the government had not issued the notification of February 5, it would have been a dereliction of duty. According to Tushar Mehta, on March 29, 2013, a resolution was passed in Udupi’s PU College that the dress would be fixed. After this the dress was decided. There was no hijab in it. In 2014, the Government of Karnataka issued a circular directing the formation of College Development Committees in PU colleges. Circular issued to CDC on February 1, 2014. In 2019 again a resolution was passed that the dress would continue. The petitioners took admission in PU College in 2021 and resolved to follow the rules. According to Tushar Mehta, ‘movement on the basis of religious sentiments in 2022’, the movement on hijab was started by PFI on social media in 2022. The movement on social media was designed to create a movement based on the religious sentiments of the people. Through social media, people were asked to wear hijab. A case was also registered against PFI. A charge sheet has also been filed in this regard. This is not the job of some kids who want to wear the hijab. This is a well planned conspiracy. These students are working as per the advice of PFI. ‘The idea of dress to avoid inequality’ Justice Gupta said that the idea of dress is to avoid the idea of inequality in schools. Inequality can be seen in many schools, so the need for dress was felt. It cannot show richness or poverty. Dave replied that I absolutely agree that every organization likes its identity. There is a difference between the Sabarimala verdict and the High Court verdict in the Hijab case.
